Request to Award Contract for Construction/FHS Parking Lot
One bids was received and opened on August 1, 1994 for the construction of
the parking lot at the high school. The bid was submitted per the
specifications of the bid documents prepared by Bruce Lutz and slightly
under his pre -bid estimate of approximately $190,000.

Recommendation: Total project costs including the two alternatives totals
$169,614, well within estimated amount. Both alternatives are reasonable
and would provide additional safety features. Please ask the City Council to
award the contract to A-1 Paving for the amount of $169,614. Work will
begin immediately, with a completion date of the main lot/tennis court area
for August 27.
