At this time we have reviewed and examined the plans and Ward IV
specifications for the proposed construction at Lawrence M. Duane Larson
Park and are ready to advertise for bids. Ward IV
The project is quite open-ended resulting in a unique
bidding proposal. We have four base bid items dealing with
utilities and site preparation and seven alternatives
dealing with specific improvements.
I have enclosed a sample of the bid form for your review.
Also, a revised calendar follows. The consultant is
contacting potential contractors and we're anticipating a
very competitive process.
Calendar: June 20 -- Council Approval to bid the project
June 24 -- Open advertising for bids
July 15 -- Close bid advertising/Open bids
July 22 -- Issue Notice to proceed
Sept 20 -- Project completion, Phase One

The Bidder, having examined the plans and specifications with related documents and the site of
the proposed work, and being familiar with all the conditions surrounding the construction of the
proposed project including the availability of materials and labor, hereby proposes to furnish all
labor, materials, and supplies, and to construct the project in accordance with the contract
