AN ORDINANCE APPROVING THE PLACEMENT OF STOP SIGNS AT VARIOUS
LOCATIONS, ESTABLISHING A PENALTY, AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF KALISPELL AS
FOLLOWS:
SECTION I. That vehicles, including motor vehicles,
bicycles, or other vehicles shall be required to stop at
the following locations:
Market Place/North Main Street (Westbound)
Market Place/1st Avenue East North (Eastbound)
Tidyman's North Exit on Montana Street (Northbound)
2nd Avenue East North/East Montana Street (Southbound)
1st Avenue East North/East Montana Street (North/
Southbound)
1st Avenue West North/West Montana Street (North/
Southbound)
1st Avenue East North/East Montana Street (Eastbound)
2 Mile Drive/Glenwood Drive (Southbound)
9th Avenue West at 7th Street West (North/Southbound)
10th Avenue West at 7th Street West (North/Southbound)
3rd Avenue East at 18th Street East (North/Southbound)
SECTION II. The Chief of Police is authorized and
directed to erect stop signs at the above locations.
SECTION III. Any person who violates any of the
provisions of this ordinance shall be guilty of a
misdemeanor and shall be fined or imprisoned in
accordance with Section 1-9 of the Kalispell City Code.
SECTION IV. This Ordinance shall become effective 30
days from and after its passage by the City Council and
approval by the Mayor.
