Approval of Minutes: Janet moved to approve the July 8 minutes; John seconded.
Approved 7-0.
Old Business:
Verizon — 25 Treeline; request to modify approved drawings. Three groupings of changes
— landscaping/parking; screening wall; awnings. OK with landscaping. Screen wall is the
biggest issue, particularly with the highway. Discussion on each of the awnings and
possible alternatives. John moved to approve the landscaping and the additional door, but
not the rest. Janet seconded. Motion passed 7-0.
New Business:
Ulta — 165 Treeline; wall sign, projecting sign and freestanding sign panel. Russ moved
to approve; John seconded. Approved 7-0.
The Korner Shop — 1212 S Main; wall sign. Going on the highway side. John moved to
approve; Julie seconded. Approved 7-0.
Canvas Church (Christian Center) — 255 Summit Ridge; wall and freestanding signs.
Dimensional lettering. David recused himself. Julie moved to approve; Bill seconded.
Approved 6-0.
Walk Your Dog — 111 W Idaho; freestanding sign. Internally lit. David moved to
approve; Russ seconded. Approved 7-0.
Bridge Club — 22 Village Loop; new bridge club building. Essentially the same as Sands
Surveying next door. Matching the colors/architecture of the development. Only 2 ft
instead of 3 ft eaves. Board and batten in front (not EIFS). Some discussion on the rear
of the building towards West Evergreen. Should have additional landscaping on that
side. Julie moved to approve with the recommendation for additional landscaping. Bill
seconded. Approved 7-0.
Batteries Plus — 215 W Idaho; remodel exterior and add wall sign. Some painting.
Three ft total width. John moved to approve; Russ seconded. Approve 7-0.
332 S Main — remodel exterior for new beauty salon. No information on exterior colors,
etc. They already painted it, but there are some concerns on the color selection. Julie
moved to table; Russ seconded. Motion to table passed 7-0.
Sunnyview Pediatrics — 1273 Burns Way; addition to existing medical office building.
Julie and Russ recused themselves. Filling in under an existing overhang for a waiting
room. John moved to approve; Janet seconded. Approved 5-0.
UPS — 1151 N Meridian; addition to existing UPS facility. No information on elevations,
etc. They are running it through the state first as a prefab building that will be installed in
several locations in the state. John moved to table; Russ seconded. Motion to table
passed 6-0. (Bill absent)
Other Discussion:
ARC awards — need to proceed with selection of winners over next meeting or two.
