Resolution 1058 - Resolution of Intent - SID 228RESOLUTION OF INTENTION TO CREATE SPECIAL IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT NO. 228 BE IT RESOLVED BY TEE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF KALISPELL, MONTANA: Section 1. That it io t1ie intertioii cdf the City Council of the City of Kalispell to create a special improvement district, hereby de- signated as Special Improvement District No. 229, and the boundaries of said proposed special improvement district are hereby declared to be as follows: Beginning at a point which is the intersection of the cen- terline of Railroad Street and the centerline of First Avenue East; thence in a westerly direction along the centerline of Railroad Street to its intersection with the centerline of Main Street; thence in a southerly direction along the centerline of Main Street to its inter- section with the centerline of First Street; thence in an easterly direction along the centerline of First Street to its intersection with the centerline of First Avenue East; thence in a northerly dir- ection along the centerline of First Avenue East to its intersection with the centerline of Railroad Street which is the point of beginning, said. boundaries to include all of Block 36 Original Townsite City of Kalispell, Montana® Section 2. That the general character of the improvements to be made in said proposed Special Improvement District is as follows, to -wit: Grading and paving the alley through said Block 36 with either a seven (7) inch reinforced concrete pavement on a gravel base Or with a two inch Warrenite-Bitulithic surface on a three inch bituminous base and also the construction of necessary catch -basins, storm sewers, crosswalks, repairs, etc.; said improvement to be made from the south property line of Block 36 to the north property line of said 'Block and also Including the crosswalk across the alley on Railroad Street. Section 3. That the approximate cost of said improvement is seven inch reinforced concrete $2065 or Iffarrenite-Bitulithic surface on a. bituminous base $2065-00- Section 4. That the entire cost and expense of such improvements, including street and. alley intersections, shall be assessed against the entire district, each lot or parcel of land within such district to be assessed for that part of the whole cost which its area bears to the area of the entire district exclusive of streets, alleys and public places. Section 5. That said assessment shall be paid for in five equal annual installments hereby extended over a period of five yearB, Uald assessment *ball 00netituto a, fund to be XnOwn U Special improvement District Fund No. 229. Section 6. That said improvements shall be paid for in Special Improvement District Coupon Warrants issued against said district In the sum of $100.00 each, bearing interest at 6 per cent. per annum from the date of registration until called for redemption or paid in full, interest payable annually on the first day of January of each year, payable five years from date and redeemable at any time there are funds to the credit of such Improvement District Fund available therefor; the interest coupons attached to such warrants to bear the fac—simile signatures of the Mayor ana Clerk. Section 7. That on the day of_, 1925, at the Council Chambers in the City Hall of the City of Kalispell, Montana, at 7:340 O'clock P. M. a regular meeting, the City Council will hear and pass upon all protests that may be made against the making of such Improvements or the creation of such district, providing said protests are made in writing within fifteen days after the first publication of this notice. Section 8. The City Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to give the proper notice of the passage of this resolution by publication and mailing as required by law, such publication to be made in the Kalispell Times aweekly newspaper published in the City of Kalispell.
