A RESOLUTION LEVYING AN ASSESSMENT FOR THE COST OF SPECIAL
MAINTENANCE FOR THE PURPOSE OF MAINTAINING THE STREETS AND
AVENUES OF THE CITY OF KALISPELL FOR THE FISCAL YEAR 2014-2015.
WHEREAS, the assessment cost of the Special Maintenance District #1 for the fiscal year 2014-
2015 is estimated to be $2,100,000.00, and
WHEREAS, at a public hearing held on the 21 st day of July, 2014, the City Council did consider
all objections made to said estimate and to the basis of the levy and assessment for
payment for said cost.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY 0
KALISPELL, MONTANA: i
SECTION 1. That the cost of expenses of maintaining the streets, avenues, alleys and
public roads and the costs of traffic sign and signal maintenance shall be
assessed against each lot or parcel with the Special Maintenance District No.
1 as set out in Ordinance 1475. The rates for 2014-2015 are as follows:
Category 1. (Residential) $0.014786/sq.ft. Vacant land up to 2 acres
Vacant land over 2 acres $1,288.17 maximum
Category 2. $0.014786/sq.ft. Residential land up to 1/2acre
Residential land over 1/2acre $322.04 maximum
Category 3. $0.021816/sq.ft. Commercial (non residential) up to 90% coveret
Category 4. $0.022990/sq.ft. Commercial 100% coveret
Public and private parklands, as defined by Kalispell City Code --, and cemeteries shall be
exempt from the assessment.
