BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF KALISPELL?
Section 1. That it is the intention of the City Council of
the City of Kalispell to create a, special improvement district,
hereby designated as Special Improvement District No. 214, and
the bdundaries of said proposed special improvement district
are hereby declared to be as follows: beginning at a point which
is the intersection of the centerline of Oregon Street and the
centerline of the alley 'between Second and Third Avenues East
North; thence in a northerly direction along the centerline of
said alley 732-feet to its intersection with the centerline of
Havada Street extended easterly; thence in a westerly direction
along the centerline of Nevada Street for a distance of 366
feet to the centerline of the alley between First and Second
Avenue East North; thence in a southerly,direction along the
centerline of this alley for distance of 732 feet to the centerline
of Oregon Street; thence in an easterly direction along the center-
line of Oregon Street for a distance of 366 feet to the center-
line of the alley between Second and Third Avenues East North
which is the point of beginning all in the Original Townsite,
City Of Kalispell, Montana
Section 2. That the general character of the improvements
to be made in said proposed Special Improvement District Is as
follows, tO-Wit' is grading and graveling Second A*enue East
North from Oregon Street to Nevada Street; four yards of gravel
to be placed every twelve feet.
Section 3, That the approximate cost of said improvements
is $180-00.
Section 4. That the entire cost and expenae of such improve-
ments, including street and alley intersections, shall be assessed
against the entire district, each lot or parcel of land within
such district to be assessed for that part of the whole cost
which its area bears to the area of the entire district exclusive
of streets, allays and public places, that the entire cost and
expense of said improvement including street and alley intersection

shall be assessed against the entire district, each lot or parcel
of land within such district, to be assessed for that part of the
whole -cost in proportion to the lineal feet abutting or bordering
Section 5. That said assessment !ihall be paid for in two
equal annual Installments hereby extended over a period of two
years. Said assessment shall constitute a fund to be known as
Special Improvement District Fund No. 214.
Section 6. That siad improvensents shall be paid for in
Special Improvement District Coupon Warrants issued against said
district in the sum of $100.00 each, bearing interest at 6 per
cont, per annum from the date of registration until called
for redemption or paid in full, interest payable annually on the
first day of January of each year, payable two years from date
and redeemable at any time there are funds to the credit of such
Improvement District rund available therefor; the interest coupons
attached to such warrants to bear the fac—simile signatures of the
Section 7. That on the 2nd day of June 1924, at the Council
Chambers in the City Hall of theCity of Kalispell, Montana, at
7:30 o'clock P. M.$ a regular meeting, the City Council will hear
and pass upon all protests that may be made against the making
of such improvements or the creation of such district.
Section 9. The City Clerk is hereby authorized and
directed to give the proper notice of the passage of this
resolution by putlication and mailing as required by law, such
publication to be made in the Kalispell Times a weekly newspaper
published in the City of Kalispell.
