RESOLUTION OF INTENTION to create Special Improvement District
No. 197.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF KALISpELL,MONTANA.
Section 1. That it is the intention of the City Council
of the City of Kalispell to create a Special Improvement District,
hereby designated as Special Improvement District No. 197, and the
boundaries of said proposed special imprivement district are
hereby declared to be as follows: Commencing at the center of
llth Street South, in line with the western boundary of Fourth
Avenue East, thence in a westerly direction through the cetter
of Eleventh Street to a point in line with the eastern boundary
of Third ,Avenue East, thence south along the eastern boundary
of Third Avenue .East to a point in Line with the center of Thir-
teenth Street South, thence east along the center of Thirteenth
Street South to a point in line with the Western Boundary of
Fourth Avenue East, thence northalong the western boundary of
Fourth Avenue East to the place of beginning.
Section 2. That the general character of the improvements
to be made in said proposed Special Improvement District is as
follows, to -wit:
The construction of a sanitary sewer with man-holee, lamp -
holes, flush tanks and other appurtenances.
Section 3. That the approximate cost of said improvements
1s $1300.00.
Section 4. That t o entire cost and expense of such improve-
ments, incl.u3rig street and alley intersections, shall be assessed
against the entire district, each lot or parcel of land within
such district to be assessed for that part of the whole cost
which its area bears to the area of the entire district exclusive
of streets, alleys and public places.
Section 5. That said assessment shall be apdi for in five
equal annual installments hereby extended over a period of five
years; Said assessment shall constitute a fund to be known as -
Special Improvement District Fund No. 197.
Section 6. That said improvements shall be paid for in
Special Improvement District Coupon Warrants issued against said
district in the sun of $100-00 each, bearing interest at 6 percent.
per annum from the date of registration until called for redem-
ption or paid in full, interest payable annually on the first day
of January of each year, payable five years from date and redeemable
at any time there are funds to the credit of such Improvement
District Fund available therefor; the interest coupons attached
to such warrants to bear the fac-simile signatures of the Mayor
P Section 7. That on the 2nd day of April, 1923, at the Council
Chambers in the City Hall of the City Of Kalispell, Montana, at
7:30 o'clock p.m., a regular meeting, the City Council will hear and
pass upon all protests that may be made against the making of such
improvements or of the creation of such district.
Section 8. The City Clerk is hereby authorized and directed
to give the -proper notice of:the passage of this resolution by
publication and mailing as required by law, such publication to
he made in the "Kalispell Times" a weekly newspaper, published in
the City of Kalispell.
