RESOLUTION No. 1573

A RESOLUTION DECLARING THAT AN EMERGENCY EXISTS AND THAT IT IS NECESSARY
TO MAKE EXPENDITURES FROM THE PARK FUND IN EXCESS OF THE MOUNT PROVIDED
BY THE CURRFNT BUDGET FOR PARK PURPOSES:
BE IT RESOLVED BY TiiE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF KALISPELL, MONTANA,-
WH"REAS, the current budget of the City of Kalispell did not suffici-
ently provide for the expenditures called for under the agreement the
City entered into with the Works Progress Administration of the United
States to furnish material and supplies in carrying out the Woodland
Park Project and that the sum of$$2000.00 is necessary for such purpose
in addition to the amount heretofore authorized for such purpose; and
WHFRFAS, there are no funds available to pay the foregoing obligations
of the City of Kalispell and as such obligations exceed the amount
provided by the last annual budget and such expenditures are necessary
and unavoidable and it is mandatory that the same be paid;
BE IT THEREFORE RFSOLVED that an emergency is hereby declared to exist
under the provisions of the second paragraph of Section Eight, Chapter
121 of the Laws of the Twenty-second Legislative assembly of the State
of Montana, and that the current budget for Park Tund be exceeded in
the sum of $2000.00.
That emergency warrants be drawn against the funds above named and
properly chargeable with such expenditure and that the City Treasurer
is authorized and directed to pay such warrants with any money in any
funds available for such purpose and if there is not su:'ficiert money
available to pay such warrants then the same shall be registered, bear
interest and called for payment in the manner provided for by law for
other city warrants.
This being an emergency resolution as set forth herein the same shall
take effect and be in full force and effect immediately upon its passage
and approval.
