The holiday ticketing schedule started on Monday, December 16 and will run through
Friday, January 3.
Wade provided an update on the First Interstate Bank parking lots. The bank has decided
that they would like us to sell 10 permits in their two smaller lots by Rising Sun Bistro
and Books West. We still have a few details to work out with them before we can
proceed with selling permits.
Wade is working on a letter to the City Manager to bring before council. His last request
was that the annual budget for snow removal be increased from $6,000 to approximately
$15,000 and the lot maintenance be increased from $6,500 to around $20,000. His hope
is that this would allow us to be able to sweep and paint all of the city lots. Some have
not been done for several years. The increase in meter fees would help offset the budget
increases. The Chief is reviewing the letter and upon receiving his approval it will be
submitted to the City Manager.
