Office of the Conrad Mansion
Present: John Engebretson, Ev Sliter, Shirley Miller and Tia Robbin — and Kate Moody,
Director, and Marci Halleman, Asst. Director
Not Present: Rita Fitzsimmons, Gary Havens, Mark Munsinger, Betty Norem
CALL TO ORDER: Tia, substituting in for Rita, called the meeting to order at 8:05 a.m.
We did not have a quorum, so did not hold an official Board meeting.
MONTANA COMMUNITY FOUNDATION:
Cathy Cooney of the Montana Community Foundation presented a summary of the
MCF's programs to us, which include administering planned gifts, bequests through wills, and
individual contributions. She provided the Board hand-outs which detail the programs benefits
and objectives. And she looks forward to working with the Mansion Endowment, should the
Board decide to use MCF.
OTHER REPORTS:
1. Gary Havens donated $2,500 to the Mansion Endowment — THANK YOU!!
2. Ev & Nikki Sliter donated 880 shares of Glacier Bank stock (currently valued over $31
per share) to the Mansion Endowment. THANK YOU!! Ev mentioned that the Board
will need to consider what to do with the Glacier Bank stock the Mansion now owns —
cash out, keep stock? The Board should be considering these investments and determine
at a future board meeting what to do.
3. Kate and Marci reported that Charles Conrad Campbell visited the Mansion last weekend,
taking tours and spending time with staff.
4. Christmas Bazaar tickets go on sale on the 17th. Christmas at the Mansion will be
October 21-23, 2005.
REMINDERS: We need someone to be Board Secretary effective November 2005.
