At The Mansion Office
Present: Ev Sliter, Mark Munsinger, John Engebretson, Tia Robbin, Rita Fitzsimmons,
Betty Norem, and Kate Daniels, Director.
Absent: Shirley Miller
The meeting was called to order by President Tia Robbin at 8:35 A.M. The minutes of
the December meeting were approved.
Directors Report:
1. Kate reported that 636 people attended the Christmas tours creating revenue
of $5813. but expenses outweighed profits. She suggested that next year we
open Thursday thru Saturday and raise the rates for the teas,
2. On Jan. 6t', Kate set up a booth at the Wedding Expo for the valley to promote
the mansion as a wedding site. There are 4 weddings booked for the summer.
3. We have a bid from CTC Electric, so we need to get the electrical
grant started. The lighting fixtures will be rewired by LaSalle Lighting. Kate
has talked to Flathead Electric Coop about a grant to help with some of the
wiring. Also, we discussed putting the Death by Chocolate money into the
wiring fix. Mark, Tia, and Gary will help with the electrical bids.
4. Rita and Kate will check on a neighborhood parry and mansion fundraiser to
be held at the mansion.
5. The employee evaluations have been completed by Kate. Marcy, the Asst.
Director, indicated she will probably not be back for the 2006 season.
6. We are still checking with the city on our sidewalks on the east side.
7. This is the last year for Leadership Flathead to do the Death by Chocolate.
8. The event grant for the Antique Fair on Aug. 19 & 20 has been completed by
Kate.
9. We need to check on insurance and having alcohol outside for our Taste of the
Fllathead event.
Treasurers Report:
1. Ev reported that he paid the bills up to date and few have $10,000 left in the
bank to get through the winter, not enough.
2. As of 12-20-05, we have $197,000 in the garden endowment fund, and
approximately $100,000 in C.D.s.
Committee Reports:
A. Garden\ Endowment (Rita)
1. A big thanks to Shirley and Tia for donating to the endowment fund.
2. There seem to be some promising prospects for donations to the fund.
B. Personnel (Gary)
1. Gary and Kate reviewed the employee evaluations, and Tia and Gary
will meet to evaluate Kate.
The meeting was adjourned at 9:40 A.M. The next meeting will be at the
mansion office at 8:30 on Thursday, Feb. 23ra
