April 6, 2006
At the Mansion Office
Present: Mark Munsinger, Everett Sliter, Tia Robbin, John Engebretson, Rita
Fitzsimmons, Shirley Miller, Gary Havens, and Kate Daniels; Director.
Absent: Betty Norem
The meeting was called to order at 8:00 A.M. The minutes from the February meeting
were approved.
Directors Report:
1. The board agreed to spend $250 for bookshelves.
2. The light fixtures are being rewired, and the garden committee will help pick
out the outside fixtures and order them.
3. The membership newsletter is being done and will be mailed shortly — 3
mailings. There will be PSAs for the membership drive with Death by
Chocolate.
4. A 500-word story about the mansion needs to be written for placement in
some small ad magazines.
5. The posters and brochures for Death by Chocolate are done and it will be Sat.
May 6`h from 7-10 P.M. at $100 per couple.
6. The desk trade with the Muntzes was discussed,
7. On April 13, Tia, Kate, and any board members who can, will attend the
F.E.C. board meeting regarding their grant for the mansion.
8. There will be a Super Host training at the mansion on June 12`h from 1 to 4.
9. The teardrop flowerbed in the garden would cost an extra $500 to plant, so
Jeff will start some plants and sell them to us at a reduced rate.
10. A riding mower is a top priority -will try to find a used one.
11. Bresnan Communications will produce a free television ad for us and run it
when we request.
12. Ghost Hunters wants to do a thorough search of the house using infrared
lights, etc.
13. Kate is compiling a list of things that need to be fixed around the house.
14. New Leaf landscaping has volunteered to fix the west step on the north porch..
15. The siding needs to be checked and fixed. The man who worked on the roof
will submit a bid.
16. The trim needs painting and the flashing on the upstairs bedrooms needs to be
fixed. Gary will check the flashing.
17. The board voted to buy some archival boxes for storage of clothing.
New Business:
1. Tis suggested we contact funeral homes to have memorials set up for the
garden endowment fund.
The meeting was adjourned at 9:15 A.M. The next meeting will be on Thursday, May
11t`at8:30.
