July 19, 2006
At the office of Tia Robbin
Present: Event Sliter, Tia Robbin, John Engebretson, Shirley Miller, Gary Havens, Rita
Fitzsimmons, Mark Norley and Kate Daniels; Director.
Absent: Mark Munsinger
The meeting was called to order at 8:35 A.M. The minutes from the June meeting were
approved.
Directors Report:
A. The tours are about the same as last year but the revenue is up and the gift shop
revenue is up about $2000.
B. The Lynn Redfield memorial went well.
C. The funeral service policy will be for memorials only with the same rental agreement
as any other function.
D. The July 4' event made $885. Thanks to Kate and all who attended. Some ways of
improving next years Ice Cream Social were discussed.
E. The Museums and Music Event will be held August 27' from noon to 4 P.M.. Billy
Angel will donate his services and play music on the grounds. There will be food vendors and
the mansion will receive a percentage of the sales. We need to have a membership table at the
event.
F. There will be a membership party on September I from 5 to 7 P.M. with music in
the music room. Kate is checking on catering and drinks. All board members are urged to
attend.
G. There are several events in the planning stage for next year including a party for the
garden endowment donors , and setting up the Kirtland Cutter exhibit.
H. The newsletter is almost finished and will be mailed soon.
1. The board reviewed the grant funds and expenses, and discussed which low voltage
lights should be used for the garden paths. Also the siding and painting of the mansion exterior
was discussed as well as having the cistern on the west side of the house cleaned.
Treasurers Report:
A. Everit presented the board with a profit and loss statement and a balance sheet for the
year to date.
The meeting was adjourned at 9:45 A.M.
