09-21-06 Conrad Mansion MinutesCONRAD MANSION BOARD MINUTES September 21, 2006 At the office of Tia Robbin Present: Mark Munsinger, Tia Robbin, John Engebretson, Rita Fitzsimmons, Shirley Miller, Gary Havens, Mark Norley, and Kate Daniels; Director. Absent: Everit Sliter The meeting was called to order at 8:00 A.M. The minutes from the July meeting were approved. Directors Report: 1) The hard voted to consider selling the rights to some of the Conrad buffalo photographs to Buffalo Mountain Development for a price of $3 to $4 hundred per photo, providing we have in writing the plans for the photos. It was discussed that maybe the development company could buy and give mansion memberships with the sale of each lot, or to purchase mansion tickets to give to prospective buyers. 2) The board agreed to set the first Wednesday of every month at 7:30A.M.aside for board meetings. This will be effective starting November first, and we will try to find a meeting room for the board meeting. 3) Kate needs help from some of the committees for a year end appeal for the mansion. There should be three options for giving: Building fund, Garden fund, or Membership. Rita & John agreed to help. --r, 4) We would like to get an artificial Christmas donated to the mansion. 5) A Children's Christmas event was discussed. We will try to have it on Dec. 22 at the mansion from 4 to 6 P.M. for a cost of $10. per ticket. Hopefully, John Lithgow or someone like him would read Christmas stories to the children. 6) A policy is in place regarding memorials to specific people on the mansion grounds that says this will not be allowed. All donations in a persons name must go to the garden or building fund. 7) The membership party was a success. 8) The bazaar will be held on October 27, 28, 29. The PSAs are out, and to date, 147 Friday night tickets have been sold. 9) Beginning in mid October, the trim painting on the house will commence. 10) Kate reported that we are on the short list for a P.P.L. grant on the electrical system. 11) The board retreat will be held on Jan, 3, 2007 at the mansion.
