At the Mansion office
Present: Rita Fitzsimmons, Gary Havens, Mark Norley, Gini Ogle, Susy Williams.
Everit Sliter, Mark Munsinger, Theresa White, and Kate Daniels; Director.
The meeting was called to order at 7:30 A.M. by President Mark Norley. The minutes
from the August meeting were approved adjusted.
A. Kirk Fulford of 1 st Interstate Bank talked to the board on doing an investment
proposal for the mansion. Everit, Rita, and Gary will be on a committee to
review investment proposals, and form an investment policy.
B. Everit and Kate presented a financial report. We received a $20,000 gift from
the Bibler endowment fund. Kate also reported that tours were up for the
summer.
C. The Special Event Committee Report was presented. The Glacier Corale and
Symphony will be at the Mansion on Dec. 21. The tickets for this will be $25.
Thank you to all the corporate sponsors for the Museums and Music Event. The
Member Appreciation Party will be on Sept. 25th from 5:30 to 7.
D. The Endowment Committee Report was presented by Rita & Kate. Kate has
compiled a prospect identification list. Rita said that all board members need to
have the knowledge of our endowment to be able to approach people for
donations. We also need a leader for this. Suzy agreed to contact Ruth
Ackroyd to talk to the board on raising endowment money. Our goal is to raise
$1 million dollars. Kate also compiled a list of our yearly expenses.
E. The boiler was inspected and fixed by Airworks at a cost of $550. The state
will also inspect the boiler.
F. Mark Munsinger passed out a list that he and Gary compiled on our future
infrastructure needs.
G. Kate is working 4 days a week, and can work 2 days at the mansion and 2 days
at home after the mansion closes.
The meeting was adjourned at 9:15 by the President. The next meeting will be on
Wed. October 15th at the mansion. Respectfully submitted by Gary Havens,
