October 15, 2008
At the Mansion office
Present: Rita Fitzsimmons, Gary Havens, Mark Norley, Susy Williams. Everit Sliter,
Mark Munsinger, Theresa White, Tia Robbin, and Kate Daniels; Director.
The meeting was called to order at 7:30 A.M. by President Mark Norley. The minutes
from the September meeting were approved as read.
A. John Engebretson has resigned from the board due to health reasons. Thank
you for your service John. Colleen Untereiner will replace him.
B. Everit presented a financial report, which was approved as read. Kathy
Mercord has donated 150 shares of Glacier Bank stock to the mansion.
C. Special Events: Thank you to all who attended the member appreciation party.
The Christmas Bazaar party on October 20 will be from 7 to 9. We have sold
110 tickets at this time. Kate has advertised heavily and numerous publications
have done articles on the bazaar and the Christmas tours. It was also decided
that the tickets for the Glacier Chorale on December 2 1 " would be $25 each or 2
for $40.
D. The mansion has received a grant from U.S. Bank for around $4000 for school
tours.
E. Kate will meet with the Daly Mansion and Moss Mansion directors and try to
work out a joint advertising and marketing plan.
F. It was decided to try and organize the Endowment Committee now, and start
trying to raise funds next year. Ruth Ackroyd can meet with us in November on
this. She needs two hours of our time. The meeting will be on November 12"'
at 8:30, so our board meeting will start at 8:00. The board will bring food.
G. The boiler was serviced by Airworks for $800, and they donated this to us, and
will also update other things on the boiler.
H. The Christmas Party will be on December 10L' at 6:30 at the mansion. Please
bring a white elephant gift, a food dish, and your choice of beverage.
The meeting was adjourned at 9:00 by the President. The next meeting will be on
