Ordinance 336 - Restricting AutomobilesORDINANCE No. 336 AST ORDINANCE restricting and limiting the use of certain parts of certain Streets and Avenues in the City of Kal- ispell. BE IT ORDAINED By the City Council of the City of Section 1. Drivers of automobiles shall be per- mitted to park their automobiles, cross -wise to the street, along the center line of Main Street, from Railroad Street to Fourth Street, and along the center line of First Avenue Fast, from Railroad Street to Fourth Street; provided, that no auto- mobile shall be parked within thirty feet of any street inter- section. Section 2. otherwise then as provided in section one of this ordinance any person in charge of any horse or ve- hicle shall not stop any horse or vehicle at any point on Main Street between Railroad Street and Fourth Street or at any point on First Avenue East between Railroad Street and 'Fourth Street, except, that a horse may be stopped at the curb long enough for the rider to mount or alight, a vehicle carrying passengers may be stopped at the curb long enough for the passengers to get in or out of the vehicle, and a vehicle carrying property may be stopped at the curb long enough for the property to be loaded or unloaded; provided that no horse or vehicle shall in any case be stopped within thirty feet of any fire hydrant. Section '3.' Any person in charge of any horse or vehicle shall not stop such horse or vehicle at any point on First Street between Main Street and First Avenue East or on Second Street between Main Street and First Avenue East, or on Third Street between Main Street and First Avenue Fast. except, that a horse may be stopped at the curb long enough for the rider to mount or xij::hZ alight, a vehicle carrying passengers, may be stopped at the curb long enough for the passengers -to get in or out of the vehicle, and a vehicle carrying property 0 M� 01 loaded or unloaded; provided that no horse or vehicle shall in any case, be stopped within thirty feet of any fire hydrant. Section 4. Any person in charge of any horse or vehicle in case of fire, shall not permit any such horse or vehicle to be. or remain on any part of any street or avenue in the immediate vicinity of such fire; provided that this section shall not ap- ply to officers and employees of the city while in the discharge if their duties, as such officers or employees. Section Any person violating any of the provisions of this ordinance shall for the first offense be punishable by a t fine of not' less than Five Dollars nor more than One Hundred Dol- lars', and for each subsequent offense by a fine of not less than Ten Dollars nor more than Three Hundred Dollars, or by imprison- ment for a period of not to exceed thirty days or by both such fine and imprisonment. Section 6. 'Ordinance No. 332 entitled "AN ORDINANCE restricting and limiting the use of certain parts of Main Street in the City of Kolispelll passed and approved july 3rd 1916, and the provisions of all ordinances, in conflict with this ordinance aTe'hereby repealed.
