numbered 368, known as the hevised Ordinances of the City of
Kalispell,nontana of 1922,and relating to the sale of impound-
ed animals.
3E IT OitDAIN'_+:D BY TAE CITY XOUNCIL OF THE CITY OF KALISPELL:
SECTION. 1. That Section 541 of ordinance Yo. 366, '
known as the Revised Ordinances of the City of Kalispell,Yont-
ana of 1922,passed April 3rd, 1922 be amended to read as follows.
"Section 541. It shall be the duty of the pound master
to receive into such pound all animals brought there
in pursuance of the provisions of this ordinance; to
take care of and properly feed all such animals im-
pounded;to deliver to the owner thereof �,,_�s�yc z< he manneter)
animals as may be redeemed by such osinei n r
as prescribed by Sections 5175 to 5102 ioclusive,of
the Revised Codes of Lq ntana of 1921,as the same have
been amended;and all animals not redeemed 24 hours
after the same are impounded, Sunday excepted,forthwith,
after the expiration of the said twenty four hours,to
post three notices in three public places in said city
in substance as follows:
"Taken up and impounded in the Ci,y of Kalispell the
day of 119 (there insert the des-
cription of the animal)which will,if not redeamed before
sale be sold at public auction to the highest bidder
for cash at the City Pound,at the hour of ten o'clock
in the forenoon on the day of _ 19 ,
Poundmaster."
The date of sale in such notices shall be the tenth
day after the animal or animals therein mentioned were
impounded,except when sale would fall on Sunday, a '
'holiday or election day,then in that event ,the follow -
in _day,.and,if the said 4aimals are not redeemed,
authority is hereby given the said poundmaster to sell
the same in accordance with thly notice."
SECTION 2. That Section 561 of Ordinance No. 368 known
as the Revised Ordinances of the City of Kalispell of 1922,
passed April 3, 1922,be,and the same is hereby amended to read
as follows: "Section 561. It shall.be the duty of the pound
master to take up and impound every doi running at large con l.'''
trary to any provisions of this Article. If an impoundeie no4
redeamed within forty eight hours after said dog is impo nded
the pound master shall give notice of such impounding to the
owner,in the manner as prescribed by Section 5175 to 5182,in-
clusive,of the nevised codes of lontana of 1921,as the sane have
been amended;after which, and in conformity thereto,the pound -
master shall offer the impounded dog for sale at public auction.
,rye', and if no bid to the amount of $2.00 be received therefor,the
impoundeshall be killed by him, provided that any person may
redeam an impounded dog on the payment of 12.00 to the pound -
master.
The poundmaster shall be paid $1.00 for every dog
impounded and killed by him,or 11.00 for every dog impounded
and redeamed".
SUCTION 3. All ordinances or parts of Cordinances in
in conflict herewith are hereby repealed.
SECTION 4. This Ordinance shall take effect tnirty
days ai'ter its passage and approval.
