ORDINANCE NO. 380
AN ORDINANCE providing for the holding of a special
election upon the question of whether or not the indebtedness
of the City of Kalispell, Montana shall be increased by the
' issuance of Water Bonds to the amount of Five Thousand Five
Hundred Dollars ($5,500.00) to be used for the purgse of re-
imbursing the property owners for assessments paid and the
purchase of all out -standing bonds in Special Improvement
Districts No's 156-182-196 which were created for the purpose
of extending the Water Mains of the City of Kalispell, Montana.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL of the dity of
Kalispell, Montana:
SECTION I: That whereas there has been presented to the
City Council of the City of Kalispell, Montana, a Petition
signed by 20,7' of the qualified registered electors who are
taxpayers upon property within the City of Kalispell, and whose
' names appear on the assessment roll for the year 1923, praying
for the calling of an election to be held in the City of
Kalispell, Montana, on the Seventh day of April, 1924, for the
purpose of submitting to the qualified electors who are re-
sident taxpayers of the City of Kalispell the question of
whether or not the indebtedness of the City of Kalispell,
Montana, shall be increasedby the issuance of Coupon Bonds
to the amount of Five Thousand Five Hundred Dollars ($5,500.00)
to be used for the purpose of re-imbursing the property owners
for assessments paid and forthe purchase of all outstanding
warrants in Special Improvement Districts No's 156-182-196-,
which were created for the purpose of extending the Water
Maine of the City of Kalispell, Montana.
' SECTION II. That a special election be held in the City
of Kalispell, Montana, on the Seventh day of April, 1924, for
the purpose of ascertaining the will of the taxpayers to be
affected thereby, and that authority may be given and power
conferred upon the City Council of said City of Kalispell
to increase the indebtedness of said City by the issuance of
Coupon Bonds of said City to the amount Of Five Thousand Five
Hundred Dollars ($5,500.00) that the said bonds to be payable
in twenty years and redeemable in ten years or at any interest
paying date thereafter, and to be payable on either the amortiz-
ation or serial plan, and to be issued for the purpose of re-
imbursing the property owners for assessments paid and for the
purchase of all outstanding warrants in Special Improvement Dis"
tricts No's 156-182-196, which were created for the purpose of
extending the Water Mains of the City of Kalispell, Montana,
SECTION III: That the time and place of holding said
election shall be as follows: In the City of Kalispell, Montana,
on the Seventh day of April, 1924, from eight o'clock A. M. to
six o'clock P. M. of said day and the place for voting at such
election shall be as follows:
First Ward: The Sample Room of the National Hotel
On Vain Street.
Second Ward: Council Chambers of City Hall.
Third Ward: Basement of Court House.
The bonds and coupons shall be in such form as the Council
by Ordinance directs. '
SECTION LV: That the ballot to be used at such election
shall be of ordinary white paper, four inches by six inches in
size, and shall be printed in the following form: "Proposition
to increase the indebtedness of the City of Kalispell, Montana,
by the issuance of Water Bonds of the City to the amount of Five
Thousand Five Hundred Dollars ($5,500.00) to be used for the
purpose of re-imbursing the property owners for assessments paid
and for the purchase of all outstanding warrants in Special Im-
provement Districts No's 156-182-196, which were created for the
purpose of extending the Water'Mains of the City of Kalispell,
Mont ana.

SECTION V: That the City Clerk be and is hereby authorized
and directed to give notice of said election required by law,
which said notice shall be in the following form:

NOTICE OF ELECTION.
Notice is hereby given by the undersigned City Clerk
of the City of Kalispell, County of Flathead, State of Montana,
than pursuant to a Petition presented to the City Council of the
' City of Kalispell, Montana, under the provisions of Chapter
104 Session Laws of 1921, and an order made thereon at a general
meeting of the City Council of the City of Kalispell, held on the
third day of March, 1924, an election of all qualified register-
ed electors, whose names appear on the assessment roll for the
year of 1923, and assessed on property within the City of
Kalispell, will be held in the City of Kalispell, Montana, from
eight o'clock A. M. to six -o'clock P. M. on the Sevent)L day of
April, 1924, for the purpose of submitting to the -taxpayers of
said City qualified to voter thereon, the qubstion of whether
or not the said City of Kalispell shall increase its indebted-
ness by the issuance of Coupon Bonds to the amount of Five Thousand
Five Hundred Dollars ($5,500.00); that the said bonds to be
' payable in twenty years and redeemable in ten years or at any
interest paying date thereafter, and to be payable on either
the mortization or serial plan, and to be issued for the purpose
of re-imbursing the property owners for assessments paid and
for the purchase of all outstanding warrants in Special Im-
provement Districts No's 156-152-196, which were created for the
purpose of extending the Water Mains of the City of Kalispell+
Montana.
That the places for voting at such election in said City
shall be as follows:
First Ward: The Sample Room of the National Hotel on Main
Street.
' Second Ward: Council Chambers of the City Hall,
Third Ward: Basement of the Court House.
The Following named persons, being qualified to vote at
such election, are hereby appointed Judges of election:
Ward NoI. E. B. Taylor, A. W. Hollensteiner, C. K. Dickey,
Ward No II. J. C. McCWininger, W. F. Mulaney, Mrs Geo. Cade.
Ward No. III. James Lake, W. R. Martin, Mrs M. Powers,

and the City Clerk is instructed to notify them by mail of their
appointment.
SECTION V$: That the City Clerk,`be and is hereby
authorized and directed to take all necessary steps and proceed—
ings required by law for the holding of said election.
SECTION VII: That all ordinances and parts of ordinances
in conflict`herewith are hereby repealed. This ordinance is an
emergency ordinance and takes effect immediately upon its passage.
