Ordinance 569 - Vehicle and Pedestrian Traffic588 2.1 ORDINANCE NO. 569 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 3 (a) of Ordinance No. 537 of the City of Kalispell, Montana PERTAINING TO THE REGULATION AND CONTROL OF VEHICULAR AND PEDESTRIAN TRAFFIC AND TRAVEL TO PERMIT THE MAKING OF RIGHT TURNS ON RED LIGHTS UNDER CERTAIN CIRCUMSTANCES. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF KALISPELL, MONTANAt AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. That Section 3 (a) of Ordinance No. 537 of the ' City of Kalispell, Montana, be and the same is hereby amended to read as follows: "Section 3(a). When the word "Stop"I or the color red is exhibited$ no waiting vehicle facing the signal shall proceed until the green or "Go". signal is displayed alone, and Aim every movipig vehicle facing the signal shall stop on the right side of the cross- walk or the nearest property line of the cross street. PROVIDED HOWEVER, that upon coming to a complete stop as aforesaid, and after first yeilding the right of way to Pedestrians occupying or about to occupy the cross -walks or lanes provided for the movements of such pedestrains and to vehicular traffic moving in accordance with the direction exhibited by such traffic signals, such vehicles may proceed to turn right against such word "Stop" or such red color." Emergency amendment is hereby declared to exist and this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage and approval.
