API ORDINANCE REQUIRING THAT I410TOR VEHICLES DISPLAY THE LEGALLY
RECUIRED NUMBER 01' LICENSES PLATES.
BE IT ORDI�.INED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF KALISPELL:
SECTION 1. No person shall drive
a motor vehicle
on the
'
public highways, streets, alleys and other
public ways
of the
City of Kalispell unless the legally authorized
number
of plate
or plates required for such vehicle by
the laws of the
State of
MUntana are attached conspicuously to
such vehicle and
in such
a manner that such plate or plates can
be plainly seen
and read
at all times and each such plate shall
hang in a horizontal po-
sition at a distance of not less than
one or more than
four feet
above the ground and so fastened as to prevent swinging, and
each number plate shall be kept clean so as to be plainly seen
and read at all times and it shall be unlawful to alter or dis-
figure such number plate or plates, or to use the same if they
have been changed, altered, or disfigured or if the same shall
have become illegible.
SECTION 2. This ordinance shall be and remain in full
force and effect 30 days after its passage and approval.
SECTION 3. Passed by the City Council and Approved by the
Mayor this 3rd, day of November, 1947.
