ORDINANCE NO. 661
AN ORDINANCE PROHIBITING THE SPILLING OR WASTING OF GASOLINE OR OTHER FLAMMABLE
LIQUIDS, PROVIDING PENALTIES FOR THE VIOLATION HEREOF, REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES
OR PART OF ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH, AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY.
BE IT ORDAINED
BY THE
CITY COUNCIL
OF
THE CITY OF
KALISPELL:
'
Section 1. It
shall
be unlawful,
and
punishable
as herein provided, for any
person or persons to willfully, negligently or carelessly cause or permit
any gasoline or other flammable liquid or substance to become spilled or wasted
upon the ground or other surface in such a manner or under such circumstances
as to create a fire or explosion hazard or to endanger any persons or property.
Section 2. Any person violating the provisions of this ordinance or doing the
acts herein declared unlawful shall, upon conviction thereof, be punished by
a fine not to exceed Three Hundred Dollars ($300.00), or by imprisonment not
to exceed Ninety (90) Days, or by both such fine and imprisonment.
Section 3. All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are
hereby repealed.
' Section 4. It being deemed by the City Council of the City of Kalispell,
Montana, that an emergency exists, this ordinance shall be in full force
and effect from and after its passage and approval.
PASSED by the City Council of the City of Kalispell, Montana this 6th day
of January, 1958.
APPROVED by the Mayor of the City of Kalispell, Montana, this 6th day
of January, 1958.
