ORDINANCE N0. 642
AN ORDINANCE FIXING THE SALARIES AND COMPENSATION OF CERTAIN
ELECTED OFFICIALS OF THE CITY OF KALISPELL, MONTANA, AND REPEALING ORDINAN CES
AND PARTS OF ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF KALISPELL, MONTANA,
AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. That effective July let, 1955, the annual salaries and
compensation of the following City officers shall be as follows:
Councilmen Maximum allowable under State Codes
of Montana
Section 2. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from
and after July let, 1955.
Section 3. All ordinances and parts of ordinances in conflict
herewith are hereby repealed.

ORDINANCE NO. 643
AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING CURFEW HOURS FOR ANY MINOR UNDER THE AGE OF 17 YEARS,
MAKING IT UNLAWFUL FOR ANY MINOR UNDER THE AGE OF 17 YEARS TO VIOLATE CURFEW
HOURS, MAKING IT UNLAWFUL FOR ANY PARENT, GUARDIAN OR OTHER ADULT PERSON HAVING
THE CARE AND CUSTODY OF THE MINOR TO ALLOW OR PERMIT A MINOR TO VIOLATE SAID
CURFEW HOURS; PROVIDING THAT IT SHALL NOT BE A DEFENSE BECAUSE SAID PARENT,
GUARDIAN, OR OTHER ADULT PERSON HAVING CARE AND CUSTODY OF A MINOR UNDER 17
YEARS OF AGE HAVE NO KNOWLEDGE OF SAID MINORS VIOLATING SAID CURFEW; PROVIDING
PENALTIES FOR VIOLATION THEREOF; AND REPEALING SECTIONS 965, 966, 967, 968,
and 969 OF THE REVISED ORDINANCES OF 1947.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF KALISPELL, MONTANA:
Section 1. Curfew for minors -- Loitering of minors prohibited.
It shall be unlawful for any minor under the age of 17 years to loiter, idle,
wander, stroll, operate a motor vehicle or play in or upon the public streets,
highwAys, roads, alleys, parks, playgrounds or other public grounds, public
places and public buildings, places of amusement and entertainment, vacant lots,
or other unsupervised places, on each and every Sunday, Monday, Tuesday,
Wednesday, and Thursday, between the hours of 10:30 P. M. and 5:00 A. M. of the
following day, official City time, and on each and every Friday and Saturday
between the hours of 1:30 A. M. and 5:00 o'clock A. M., official City time;
