City Ulerk of the City/of Kalispell, Montana ORDINANCE NO. 638 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SUBDIVISION b OF SECTION 686 OF ORDINANCE NO. 536 KNOWN AS THE REVISED ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF KALISPELL OF 1947, PASSED AND APPROVED APRIL 14, 1947, PERTAINING TO THE FEES FOR PERMITS FOR PLUMBING, BY CHANGING THE FEES FOR CERTAIN OF SUCH PERMITS, AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF KALISPELL. Section 1. That subdivision b of Section 686 of Ordinance No. 536 known as the Revised Ordinances of the City of Kalispell, Montana, of 1947, passed and approved April 14, 1947s be, and the same is hereby, amended to read as follows: b. Fees for Permits. Before the issuance of any permit, the inspector shall require the payment of a fee in accordance with the following table: For plumbing systems containing one to two fixtures, the fee shall be $1,00 for each and every fixture.with a minimum fee of $2.00. For each additional fixture, the fee shall be 750 for all fixtures in excess of the first two. A fee of $2.50 shall be charged for all sewer connections. The construction, repair and maintenance of all sewer drains, cesspools, etc, whether public or private within the limits of the City of Kalispell, shall be under the super- vision and direction of the City inspector, his authorized assistant or duly appointed inspector. The fee shall cover location of wyes and the establishing of grade for sewers. The contractor shall furnish all necessary materials. If alterations to the plumbing of an existing building be desired, the permit fee shall be based upon the number of fixtures affected or replaced. No fee sh4l be exacted for work generally known as maintenance work. If any work on the constructions, alteration, or repairs of a plumbing system be commenced without a permit having first been secured, double the fees above, stated shall be exacted when a permit is finally issued. Payment of such double fees, however, shall in no way relieve such persons of the penalties imposed for violation of this code. If�work under a permit be not commenced for six months after its issuance, or if, after partial completion, the work is discontinued for the period of one year, the permit thereupon shall become void and no work shall be done at the premises until a new permit shall have been secured.
