Ordinance 624 - Corrects City Limits58 ZL ORDINANCE NO. 624 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 247 OF THE REVISED ORDINANCES OF 1947 OF THE CITY OF KALISPELL, MONTANA, PASSED AND APPROVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF KALISPELL, MONTANA ON APRIL 14, 1947; AS AMENDED BY ORDINANCE NO. 578 OF THE CITY OF KALISPELL, MONTANA, PASSED AND APPROVED ON 'THE lst DAY OF MAY, 1950 RELATING TO THE CORPORATE LIMITS OF THE CITY OF KALISPELL, MONTAN4 AND REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES AND PARTS OF ORDINANCE IN CONFLICT HEREWITH, AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. WHEREAS, by reason of clerical or other errors, Section 247 of the Revised Ordinance of 1947 of the City of Kalispell, Montana, as amended by Ordinance No. 578 of the City of Kabspell, Montana, does not correctly define the city limits of the City of Kalispell, Montana, NOW, THEREFORE: BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of the City of Kalispell, Montana: Section 1. That Section 247 of the Revised Ordinance of 1947 of the City of Kalispell, Montana, passed and approved by the City Council of the City of Kalispell, Montana on the 14th day of April, 1947, as amended by Ordinance No. 578 of the City of Kalispell, Montana, passed and approved on the lst day of May, 19509 be, and the same is hereby amended to read as follows: "Section 247. CORPORATE LIMITS. Commencing at the Northeast corner of the southwest Quarter of Section 83 Township 28, North, Range 21, West; thence, West along regular subdivision line to its intersection with the center line of Eighth Avenue East North, produced; thence, in a Northerly direction along the center of Eighth Avenue East North, to its intersection with the North line of California Street; thence, in a Westerly direction along the North line of California Street to its intersection with the East line of the Northeast Quarter of Section 71 Township 28, North, Range 211 West; thence North along the East line of Section 7 to the corner common to Sections 5, 6, 7, and 8, thence, Northerly by the shortest distance to the Center line of the Stillwater River; thence, North and West along the center line of the Stillwater River to its intersection with the West line of Lot 11, Section 6, Township 28, North, Range 21, West; thence South along the West line of Lot 11, aforesaid Section 6 to the Southwest corner of said Lot 11, thence West along the North line of Lot 15 of said Section 6; Thence South along the West line of the aforesaid Lot 15 to the quarter corner common to Sections 6 and 7, Township 280 North, Range 21, West; thence West along section line to its intersection with the East Right of Way line of U. S. Highway 93, thence Southeasterly along said line to its intersection with the West boundary line of the Northeast Quarter Northwest Quarter of said Section 7; thence, Southerly along said subdivision boundary line, and along an extension thereof to the South Boundary of the Great Northern Railroad Company's Right of Way; thence, Westerly along said South boundary to the West boundary of the County Highway known as the Meridian Road; thence, Southerly on said boundary line to its intersection with the North line of a tract known as Meridian Addition lying in the Northeast Quarter of Northeast Quarter of Section 13, Township 28, North, Range 22 West, plat of which is on file in the office of the County Clerk and Recorder of Flathead County, Montana; aid which point is 392 feet North of the Northeast Corner of South- east Quarter of Northeast Quarter of said Section 13; thence North 890 231 West, 880 feet, more or less, to its intersection with the Easterly Right of Way line of the Somers Branch of the Great Northern Railway; thence South- easterly along said Right of Way line 1274 feet; thence North 890 �5t East 138.8 feet; thence North 00 41' East 140 feet to point on the South Boundary of tract known as Storm's Meridian Lots, plat of which is on file in the office of County Clerk and Recorder of Flathead County, Montana; thence North 890 �51 East 344.3 feet; thence South and parallel with West line of Meridian Road 320 feet; thence East and parallel with North Boundary of Southeast Quarter of Northeast Quarter of said Section 13, a distance of 150 feet to its intersection with the West Boundary of Meridian Road; thence South along the West boundary of Meridian Road, a distance of 620 feet, more or less, to an intersection with the South boundary line, extended, of Custer Avenue of Ashley Townsite; thence, Easterly along the South boundary line of Said Custer Avenue to the North West corner of Block 3 of said Ashley Townsite; thence, in a Northeasterly direction to the Northwest corner of Block 3 of the High School Addition; thence, in an Easterly direction along the North boundary of said Block 3 of High School Addition to an intersection with the West boundary line of Eleventh Avenue West; thence, Southerly along the West boundary line of Eleventh Avenue West, to the center of Eighth Street West; thence, in an Easterly direction along the center of Eighth Street to the center of Eighth Avenue West; thence, in a Southerly direction along the center of Eighth Avenue West to the center of Eleventh Street; thence, in an Easterly direction along the center of Eleventh Street to the intersection with the subdivision line between the Northeast Quarter of the Southwest Quarter and the Northwest Quarter of the Southeast Quarter of Section 18, Toimship 28, North, Range 21, West; thence, South to the South- west corner of the Northwest Quarter of the Southeast Quarter of Section 18, Township 28, North, Range 21, West; thence, Easterly along regular subdivision lines to an intersection with the West line of Second Avenue East; thence South 130 491 East to the intersection with the South line of Fourteenth Street; thence, North 760 1.11 East along the South line of Fourteenth Street to the intersection with the subdivision line between the Northeast Quarter and the Southeast Quarter of the Southwest Quarter of Section 17, Township 28, North, Range 21, West; thence, East to the Southeast corner of the Northeast Quarter of the Southwest Quarter of Section 17, Township 28, North, Range 21 West; thence North 171.6 feet to an intersection with the South line of Fourteenth Street; thence, North 760 ill East 546.2 feet; thence North 280 181 West 223.2 feet; thence, North 50 241, West 218.2 feet; thence North 60 40+, East 213.5 feet; thence. North 140 431. East 848.1 feet to an intersection with the East line of Woodland Avenue; thence in a North- erly direction along the East line of Woodland Avenue to its intersection with the East line of the Northeast Quarter of the Northwest Quarter of Section 17, Township 28, North, Range 21, West; thence, North to the place of beginning.. All references to streets or avenues shall conform tc the maps or plats of the Townsites of Ashley and of Kalispell, and of the Additions thereto, which plats are on file and of record in the office of the Clerk and Recorder of Flathead County, Montana. Section 2. All ordinances and parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby repealed. Section 3. An urgency and emergency is hereby declared to and does exist. . Section 4.
