Ordinance 614 - City Beer LicensesM ORDINANCE NO. 614 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 777 OF ORDINANCE NO. 536 KNOWN AS THE REVISED ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF KALISPELL OF 1947, PASSED AND APPROVED APRIL 14, 1947, AS THE SAME WAS AMENDED BY ORDINANCE NO. 551 PASSED AND APPROVED ON THE 22nd DAY OF DECEMBER, 1947 BY DISCONTINUING THE CITY LICENSE ON BREWERS AND WHOLESALERS OF BEER IN CONFORMITY WITH THE STATE LAW. Section 1. That Section 777 of Ordinance No, 536 known as the Revised Ordinances of the City of Kalispell of 1947 passed and approved April 14, 1947, as amended by Ordinance No. 551 passed and approved December 22, 1957, be amended to read as follows: "Section 777 City License Requirements. Every person who desires to engage in the business of selling beer at retail in the City of Kalispell shall first apply for and obtain a license therefor from the City of Kalispell as herein provided and if such license is granted shall pay therefor an annual license fee as follows: Each "Retailer" Two Hundred Dollars ($200.00) Each "Club" Fifty Dollars ($ 50.00) A "Club is hereby defined to be a unit of a nationally chartered veterans' organization. All licenses shall expire on each 30th day of June at midnight. Providing that a transfer of any license may be made on application to the City accompanied by satisfactory evidence of approval of the transfer of the license issued by the State Board of Equalization of the State of Montana for such business." Section 2. All ordinances or parts thereof in conflict herewith are hereby repealed. Section 3. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect thirty (30) days from and after its passage and approval. PASSED by the City Council of the City of Kalispell, Montana, this 2nd day of June, 1952.
