AN ORDI?.kDTCE REGULATING PASSING VEHICLES ON ONE-WAY STREETS,
D:BCL"".ZING A14 EMERGENCY AND REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES OR PARTS OF
ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF KALISPELL,
MONTANA, AS FOLLOWS;
SECTION 1. A vehicle overtaking another vehicle going in the
same direction on a one-way street shall pass in a careful and
prudent manner in the lane of traffic not occupied by the vehicle
being overtaken.
SEICTION 2. The overtaking vehicle shall maintain its speed until
clear of the vehicle overtaken and shall not pull into the lane
oc" traffic occupied by the overtaken vehicle until it is so far
F'Finad thereof as not to interfere with the .progress of the over-
tai;en vehicle.
SECTION 3. The overtaken vehicle shall keep to the traffic lane
it occupied prior to being overtaken and it shall not increase its
speed while being passed.
SECTION 4. It is unlawful for a vehicle to pass another on a one-
way street in any other manner.
SECTION 5. An emergency is declared to exist and this Ordinance
shall be effective upon its passage and approval.
SECTION 6. All Ordinances or parts thereof in conflict herewith
are hereby repealed.
