ORDINANCE NO. 717
AN ORDINANCE REGULATING THE REMOVAL OF FIRE HAZARDS FROM PRIVATE
PROPERTY, REPEALING ALL CONFLICTING ORDINANCES AND DECLARING AN
EMERGENCY.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF KALISPELL, MONTANA,
AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. It shall be the duty of the owners of real property
within the City to remove all dry grass, rubbish or debris from their
property so that the same shall not constitute a fire hazard.
SECTION 2. If the owner of any real property in the City shall
fail or refuse to remove therefrom all dry grass, rubbish or debris
constituting a fire hazard immediately upon notice from the Chief of
the Fire Department to remove same, the Fire Chief is hereby authorized
to remove such fire hazard and charge the costs of removal to the real
property.
SECTION 3. All other ordinances in conflict with the provisions
of this ordinance are hereby repealed.
SECTION 4. An emergency is declared to exist and this ordinance
shall be effective upon its passage and approval.

APPROVED BY THE MAYOR, THIS 4th DAY OF AUGUST, 1965. 1'
