Ordinance 709 - Provides for Certain Exceptions to Curfew Regulationslit
ORPINANCE NO. 709
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 19-4 OF THE KALISPELL CITY COPE PROVIDING
FOR CERTAIN EKCEPTIONS TO CURFEW REGULATIONS.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF KALISPELL, MONTANA:
SECTION I. That Section 19-4 of the Kalispell- City Code be
amended to read as follows:
Section 19-4. It shall be unlawful for any
minor under the age of .eighteen years to
loiter, idle, wander, stroll, operate a motor
vehicle or play in or upon the public streets,
highways, roads, alleys, parks, playgrounds or
other public grounds, public places and public
buildings, places of amusement and entertainment,
vacant lots or other.unsupervised places, on
each Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and
Thursday between the hours of 10:30 P. M. and
5:00 A. M. of the following day, official city
time, and on each Saturday and Sunday between
the hours of 1:30 A. M. and 5:00 A. M., official
city time; provided however, that the provisions
of this Section are subject to the following
exceptions:
(1) The hours of 1:30 A. M. shall apply on
the eve of Good Friday, Memorial Pay, July 4th,
Labor Day,,Veteran's Pay and Thanksgiving as well
as during the period of Pecember twenty-third to
January second, inclusive.
(2) Curfew hours shall not apply when a
minor is accompanied by his parents, guardian or
other adult person havingthecare and custody
of the minor or when a minor is upon an emergency
errand or legitimate business directed by his
parent, guardian or other adult person having the
care and custody of the minor.
(3) Other exceptions may be granted .by the
Mayor at his discretion.
SECTION 2. An emergency is hereby declared to exist and this
Ordinance shall be in full force immediately upon its passage
and approval.
