Ordinance 703 - Designating One Way StreetsORDINANCE NO. 703 AN ORDINANCE DESIGNATING CERTAIN ONE-WAY STREETS; PROVIDING FOR THE MARKING OF THE SAME; DECLARING AN EMERGENCY AND PROVIDING A PENALTY. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF KALISPELL, MONTANA: Section 1. All vehicular travel on Sixth Street West between Main Street and Fifth Avenue West shall be from the East to the West and no person shall travel or operate any motor vehicle, bicycle or any other kind of vehicle easterly on said portion of Sixth Street West. Section 2. All vehicular travel on Seventh Street West between Main Street and Fourth Avenue West shall be from the West to the East and no person shall travel or operate any motor vehicle, bicycle or any other kind of vehicle westerly on said portion of Seventh Street West. Section 3. The Chief of Police shall appropriately mark all of the streets mentioned in Sections 1 and 2, with directional and other signs so as to enable the drivers of motor vehicles to comply with this ordinance. Section 4. Any person violating any of the provisions of this ordinance shall, upon conviction thereof, be punished by a fine of not more than $150.00 or by imprisonment for a period not exceeding ninety (90) days, or both sich fine and imprisonment. Section 5. An emergency is hereby declared to exist, and this ordinance shall be in full force and effect upon passage and approval.
