ORDINANCE NO. 696
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 555 BY PROVIDING FOR THE REGULATION
OF THE VEHICLES USED TO HAUL GARBAGE, AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF KALISPELL, MONTANA:
SECTION 1. That Ordinance No. 555 be amended to read as follows:
Section 1. All persons, firms and corporations who may for
' themselves or in the employment of others, remove garbage or
other substance which from any cause has become or may be
offensive, shall in removing the same from, over or along any
of the streets, highways, alleys or public grounds of said
City of Kalispell or elsewhere therein, convey the same in
close, tight boxes or other containers, so as to prevent the
scattering or dropping therefrom of any such garbage or dher
substance while in motion or passing along or being on any of
the streets, highways or other places above mentioned.
Section 2. No person shall drive or move any truck or other
vehicle within the city unless such vehicle is so constructed
or loaded as to prevent any load, contents, litter or garbage
from being blown or deposited upon any street, alley or other
public place.
Section 3. No person, firm or corporation hauling stones,
gravel, bricks, manure, dirt or refuse shall drop or deposit
any part of the same upon any street, alley or other public
place or way within the limits of the City of Kalispell.
Section 4. The violation of any provision of this ordinance
is hereby declared to be a misdemeanor, punishable as provided
by the Ordinances of the City of Kalispell.

An emergency
is hereby
declared to exist, and the
immediate
passage of this
ordinance
is hereby declared to be
necessary
for the peace,
health and
safety of the City of
Kalispell,
and this ordinance
shall
be and remain in full
force and
effect from and
after its
passage and approval.

APPROVED BY THE MAYOR THIS 8TH DAY OF APRIL, 1963.
