Ordinance 690 - Prohibits Shipping of Milk Unless LicensedORDINANCE NO. 689 AN ORDINANCE REGULATING STANDARDS, PASTEURIZATION, PRODUCTION, TRANSPORTATION, PROCESSING, HANDLING, SAMPLING EXAMINATION, GRADING, LABELING, REGRADING AND SALE OF MILK AND MILK PRODUCTS, AND THE INSPECTION OF DAIRY HERDS, DAIRIES AND MILK PLANTS, PROVIDING A PENALTY, DECLARING AN EMERGENCY AND FIXING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.. ORDINANCE NO, 690 AN ORDINANCE PROHIBITING THE SHIPPING OF GRADE A PASTEURIZED MILK OR CERTIFIED RAN MILK INTO THE CORPORATE LIMITS OF THE CITY OF KALISPELL, MONTANA, BY ANY PERSON, FIRM OR ASSOCIATION UNLESS LICENSED, PROVIDING A PENALTY, AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY AND FIXING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF KALISPELL, MONTANA: Section 1. It shall be unlawful for any person, firm or association to ship Grade A pasteurized milk or certified raw milk into the corporate limits of the City of Kalispell, Montana, until said person, firm or association shall have applied to the City Treasurer for a license there- fore, and such person shall have issued such license, for which there shall be paid a fee of $5,00, Such license shall be effective until January 1, of the following year, when it must be renewed. Section 2. Any person, firm or association violating the provisions of this ordinance shall be subject to a fine of not more than $300.00. Section 3. An emergency is hereby declared to exist and this ordinance shall be in full force and effect on January 1, 1963.
