2. Board Action
a. Approve Minutesfrom the July 10, 2013 Meeting:
Action: Motion was made by Gib Bissell to approve the minutes. Motion seconded by Lori Fisher.
Discussion: none. Board approved unanimously.
b. TBID financial statements for June 2013:
Action: Motion was made by Lori Fisher to approve the financial statements. Motion seconded by
Janet Clark. Discussion: none. Board approved unanimously.
3. Board Discussion
a. Dragon Boat Festival: 96 teams registered, 38 from out of market including 21 from Canada, also
teamsfrom Fbrtland (2), Tacoma, SBattle, Long Beach CA, St. Paul MN, Helena, Bozeman, Missoula.
Busshuttlesfrom event parking field will be provided by Fbcky Mountain Transportation. Adsare
running in local and regional newspapers. Elory pitches sent to all traveling team hometown media.
Earned media report will be available post event. 100+ volunteers are needed for the weekend.
b. Consumer Marketing Updates: Online marketing report for June showed a432%increase in unique
websi t e vi sit s over J.A ne 2012. Pages vi ews i ncreased by 380%. 311 d i cks i nto i ndi vi d ual packages
submitted byTBID hotels. Vsitsfrom Alberta increased 3280/6, British Columbia increased 8110/6,
Saskatchewan 772%and Ontario 618%increase. Trip Advisor: 54%page view increase and 71%
increase in total dicks/ interactions. STRFbport showed a 0.5%increase in occupancy, 4.3%increase
in ADRand 4.8%increase in FbvPARfor June. Social Media: Discover Kalispell: 402 new likes since
July 6, avg post reach 29,334. MT Dragon Boat: 1,314 new likes.
c Meeting schedule: original meeting schedule includes October 2nd. This isthe week of the travel writer
FAM and Fbb and Diane will be unavailable. Board decided to schedule next meeting for SBptember
25 h, which will cover SBpt ember and October. Officer meeting will be held 5?ptember 181n
