03-01-84 S&W Comm MinutesMarch 1, 1984 • SEWER AND WATER COMMITTEE MEETING The Sewer & Water Committee met at 9:00 A.M. on this date in the committee room at City Hall. Present were committee members Nystul and Springer, Mayor McDowell Tom.Flynn and Superintendent Hughes. A letter from Rex Boller relative to a high water bill at a rental on 7th Avenue West was read. The committee agreed the Superintendent should recompute the bill using a portion of the water sprinkling rate. Jeff will write Mr. Boller. Tom Flynn presented preliminary data for the water/sewer rate increase. Consider- able time was spent going over the detail of the rate schedules. The Water Superintendent was directed to acquire barricades that conform to the Uniform Traffic Manual. The committee report will ask for a letter approving the 201 Facility Plan Draft for Evergreen, Volume I. Jeff reported that the rough estimate for the storm seweiZ on 7th Avenue ,West and loth Street was $42,000. r The energy audit of the WWTP was approved. The Superintendent will engage a firm for the budgeted item. The Superintendent will engage an engineer for an opinion on hooking in the North Valley County Sewer District on North Main. Time is of the essence. Process Applications report has been received. One item suggested is a line to by- pass the filters so they can be rebuilt and to correct a problem with the backwash pump. Superintendent Hughes was authorized to proceed with the project. DHES will have to be notified. It was agreed that the committee would meet at 4:00 P. M. on Mondays, subject to the conflicts of Councilman Ruiz. Meeting adjourned at 11:00 A. M. ms •
