05-30-90 Parks Comm MinutesPARKS, PUBLIC LANDS/ANNEXATION/ZONING/BUILDING REGULATION COMMITTEE • MEETING May 30, 1990 7:00 A.M. Present at the meeting were Craig Kerzman, David Greer, Mike Baker, Councilpersons Moses and Furlong, Fred Zavodny, and Ross Plambeck. Also present were Carey Weyrauch, Charles & Jeff Houston, Hugh Osborne and Shelley Tesmer. HALL'S ADDITION LOT 5 ZONE CHANGE MOTION: C. Moses moved the Committee recommend to the Council that the zoning for Lot 5, Hall's Addition be changed from Residential Apartment, RA-1 to Neighborhood Business, B-1. C. Furlong seconded. Motion passed unanimously. GRIFFIN FIELD ZONE CHANGE MOTION: C. Moses moved the Committee recommend to the Council that the zoning for Lots 1 thru 12, Block 23, Kalispell Original, includ- ing the adjoining alley between Lots 1-6 and 7-12, be changed from Public, P-1 to Community Business, B-3. C. Furlong seconded. Motion passed unanimously. M & C SUBDIVISION Carey Weyrauch of M & C Tire requested the Committee hold this in abeyance until he re -submits a plat removing the Automotion lot. • He was asked to submit a written request. DECAY ORDINANCE MOTION: C. Moses moved to recommend that the City Attorney work with the City -County Planning Office to prepare a decay ordinance. C. Furlong seconded. Motion passed unanimously. BANNERS Shelley Tesmer presented the Chamber of Commerce's banner display project to line Main Street from the Chamber of Commerce office to the Courthouse and 1st Avenue West and 1st Avenue East to 5th Street with designed city banners for each season of the year. MOTION: C. Moses moved to recommend the Council approve the project. C. Furlong seconded. Motion passed unanimously. SWIM LESSON FEE INCREASE Mike Baker was directed to prepare a document with specifics for recommendation to the Council. SWIM PASSES FOR EMPLOYEES Mike Baker and C. A. Neier were directed to put something together for the next committee meeting. CONCESSIONS - AGREEMENTS C. Furlong recommended that Mike Baker work up a contract with the City Attorney and Randy Dorrington for the shaved ice concession and bring it back to the Committee. Meeting adjourned at 9:50 A.M. sh
