05-11-90 Parks Comm MinutesPARKS, PUBLIC LANDS/ANNEXATION/ZONING/BUILDING REGULATION COMMITTEE • MEETING May 11, 1990 7:00 A.M. Present at the meeting were Councilpersons Atkinson, Furlong and Moses; Mayor Hopkins, Mike Baker, Craig Kerzman, and Dave Greer. Also present were Dick Fazio, Jay & Tina Nordwall, Ray Garner and Ken Williams. STOCKHILL ZONING MOTION: C. Furlong moved the Committee pursue Light Industrial desig- nation for the airport district. C. Moses seconded. After further discussion C. Furlong amended the motion to specify Light Industrial (I-1) zoning for property from the airport runway to Airport Road and Industrial Commercial (B-5) from the airport runway east to Highway 93. The runway will be in the I-1 zone. C. Moses seconded. The motion passed unanimously. AMPHITHEATER C. Furlong moved to dedicate the property in Woodland Park for the proposed "Bus Foy" amphitheater construction. C. Atkinson seconded. Motion passed unanimously. TREE PLANTER AT CITY HALL Mike stated the concrete is goin; •Hall. He recommended to the Comm be removed and planted elsewhere a for a fountain or a flower planter repaired if it is to be used as a to be replaced in front of City ittee that the tree in the planter nd the planter be put back in shape . He said the plumbing needs to be fountain. C. Furlong stated there should be something done with the old bell in the lobby, the original cornerstone out back, and Norma Happ's plaque that is in the alley. He suggested perhaps they could be incorporated into the plans when the front concrete is repaired. Mike Baker was directed to come up with a plan. Meeting adjourned at 8:50 A.M. sh
