MEETING
February 27, 1990
7:00 A.M.
Present at the meeting were Councilpersons Atkinson, Furlong, Moses,
Gary Nystul; Mayor Hopkins, Mike Baker, Craig Kerzman, Fred Zavodny,
David Greer, and Nick Herron.
GOLF COURSE FEES
MOTION: C. Furlong moved the Committee recommend to the Council the
adoption of the proposed 1990 fee increase. C. Moses seconded.
Motion passed unanimously. Mike Baker will contact someone from the
KGA Finance Committee to be at the next Council meeting.
SWIMMING POOL FEES
MOTION: C. Moses moved the Committee recommend to the Council the
adoption of the fee increase with the one addition that the family
season pass of $70.00 would include one two -week lesson worth $17.50.
C. Atkinson seconded. Motion passed with C. Moses and C. Atkinson in
favor and C. Furlong voting no.
DEPOT PARK PLAN
C. Furlong moved the Committee recommend to the Council the adoption
of the Master Plan for Depot Park. C. Moses seconded. Motion passed
unanimously.
LANDFALL ADDITION BOUNDARY SURVEY
MOTION: C. Furlong moved the recommendation to the Committee the
acceptance of the boundary as defined on the Certificate of Survey
and the Mayor be authorized to sign it. C. Atkinson seconded.
Motion passed unanimously.
Fred Zavodny was encouraged to bring back a proposal for surveying
the entire Golf Course boundary.
RFP PERMISSION FOR LAWRENCE PARK
MOTION: C. Furlong moved the Committee recommend to the Council the
approval of the Request for Proposals from engineers. C. Moses
seconded. Motion passed unanimously.
POSTON ADDITION --FINAL PLAT
MOTION: C. Furlong moved the Committee recommend to the Council the
acceptance of the Final Plat of the Postion Addition. C. Atkinson
seconded. Motion passed unanimously.
ANNEXATION POSSIBILITIES NORTH OF KALISPELL
David Greer explained there is a proposal for a 300-acre destination
resort north of the Stillwater River by the cemetery. It would
include a championship golf course, major hotels, restaurants, etc.
He stated he thought they would need City sewer and may be approaching
• the City at a future date regarding extending the sewer main out
along Hiway 93 across the Stillwater River. He recommended the
Council consider requiring annexation.
