• The meeting was attended by Mayor Hopkins, Council persons Nystul, Atkinson,
and Larson, and City staff persons Van Dyke and Robertson.
1) Computer - it was determined that the IBM proposal for the computer system
was not on the State Bid Contract, only the Volume Purchasing price for the
State. Discussion of the 10% bid requirement and procedures to bid. Request
for a special council meeting on May 3rd to open the bids so that the bid
could be awarded at the next regular meeting. City clerk will look into
financing with the Board of Adjustments.
2) Public hearing for the sewer rate is announced tonight by resolution. The
form was presented with the information being mailed to the sewer customers.
The public hearing will be set for May 7, 1990 at 7:30 pm.
3) Central Garage - budget will be over on their line item for motor vehicle
parts. Suggestion that the Mayor and dept. head review shop procedures and
report back. Mayor will look into the County shop.
4) Property insurance - will postpone looking into the league plan to a
future date, perhaps after the City manager comes aboard.
