11-18-85 Annexation Committeeto November 18, 1985 ANNEXATION COMMITTEE 4:00 P.M.
Chairman Manning and Councilmen Springer and Nystul present. Mayor McDowell,
Zoning Official Jackson, and Nick Verma of FRDO also in attendance.
GRANDVIEW SEWER EXTENSION - A majority of both the Annexation and the
Sewer and Water Committees was present to discuss this. After a short discussion
the Committee stated that this was in conformance with the comprehensive plan
and they had no problem with it. C. Nystul will bring this to the Council
November 18.
MATTSON ZONE CHANGE - Short discussion of conditions to be worked out.
Will be presented at Council tonight.
BED AND BREAKFAST - Attorney Neier has the ordinance. Committee called
for the public hearing -to be set forthesecond council meeting in December.
COMPREHENSIVE PLAN/WILLOW GLEN DRIVE - Nick Verma of FRDD explained that
the County Commissioners are not approving the comprehensive plan because of
the concept of Willow Glen Drive - requested the City hold a public hearing.
(See letter from County Commissioners to Mayor and City Council dated November
6). The correct procedure was discussed and the Committee felt that if the
the Commissioners are not happy with the Willow Glen arterial plan they need
to tell the Council what changes they would like, rather than requesting addition-
al public hearings. The "truck bypass" accusation has been addressed in the
• past. C. Manning will make a motion to the Council to return the letter and
the issue to the Commissioners for a decision.
HOUSE BILL #791 - Nick Verma explained the bill and suggested that the
City amend their regulations to be in complaince. Whitefish is already doing
this. Attorney Neier-is to write the ordinance and bring it back to the Committee
to be taken to Council.
