-`Zone Reducti6ns
The initial phase of the zone reduction process has been
initiated and at this point a joint meeting of the Annex-
ation Committee, Zoning Commission, Zoning Administrator,
Community Development and Director of Public Works should
be called to give the Planning Director and his staff some
direction as to the type of zoning system i.e., pyramidal,
exclusive, limited pyramidal etc., and other general sug-
gestions.
The direction taken by the Planning Director to this point
is to leave the zoning boundaries essentially similar to
those indicated on the present zoning map and reduce Ord-
inance 885 and 961 into one zoning system with 9 or 10
zones including:
1.
Low Density Single Family
6.
Neighborhood Commercial
- 2.
Single Family Mobile Home
7.
General Commercial
3.
Two Family
8.
Central Business District
4.
Low Density Multi -family
9.
Commercial & Light Industrial
5.
High Density Multi -family
The goal of zone reduction should be to simplify our zoning
system and at the same time protect the general health and
welfare and promote orderly development of the City of Kal-
ispell.
