Huggins George Haddow Fred Metcalf Walter Ryder Tom Harmon Bernard Horstman Dick Vick Cal Robinson, City Attorney Mayor Hammer presided, with all Councilmen present. Ordinance No. 666, on regulation of dogs was presented. It was moved by Ryder that Ordinance be adopted. Motion seconded by Metcalf. Roll call vote of the Council was taken, with each Councilman voting for adoption. . Moved by Vick, seconded by Fisher, that the following beer and liquor licenses be approved: Keglers Club Beer & Liquor B & B Foodliner Off premises beer Buttrey Foods Off premises beer Super Foods Off premises beer Motion carried. Electrician's License Bond of Jack H. Thuma was approved on motion of Fisher seconded by Harmon and carried. Moved by Vick, seconded by Harmon, that Mayor be authorized to execute release of claim against Royal Logging Company for $213.17 and.Thomas and Bette Pennington for $84.00. Motion carried. Mayor appointed Sewer and Water Committee to investigate.matter concerning. Felix Moser property on West R. R. St. and report to Council. He also -referred to Street and Alley Committee for a report, alleged claim of Mr. Campbell on his property on Woodland Ave. The proposed budget for 1959-60 was next reviewed by the Council. It was agreed to continue study of the budget Tuesday night at 7:30 P. M., with department heads present. TUESDAY, JULY 21, 1959 The Council met in special session for further study of the budget. Present were Mayor Hammer and Councilmen Haddow, Harmon, Horstman, Huggins, Metcalf, and Ryder. Further study and revision of the budget was made and adjourned to Wednesday, July 22, 1959, at 7:30 P. M. WEDNESDAY, JULY 22, 1959 Revision of the budget continued Wednesday at 7:30 P. M., and the meeting adjourned to Thursday, July 23rd, 1959, at 7:30 P. M. r SPECIAL MEETING A Special Meeting was held Thursday, July 23rd, 1959, at 7:30 P. M., in accordance with the following notice given and acknowledged: TO THE HONORABLE BOARD OF ALDERMEN CITY OF KALISPELL, MONTANA Gentlemen: There will be a special meeting of the City Council Thursday, July 23rd, 1959, at 7:30 P. M., for the following purpose: ADOPT PRELIMINARY BUDGET RESOLUTIONS 2392 - 2393 - 2394 1 1 M_ We, the undersigned, being all of the members of the City Council, do hereby waive Notice of the date and purpose of the special meeting of the City Council to be held Thursday, July 23, 1959, at 7:30 P. Councilmen Haddow, Harmon, Horstman, Huggins, Metcalf, Ryder; and Vick were present. After further revisions it was moved by Harmon that the preliminary budget be adopted as follows: and that the City Clerk be instructed to publish notice that budget is on file and open to inspection and that a special meeting of the Council will be held Wednesday, August 5th, 1959, at which time any taxpayer may be heard for or ageinst any item of the budget. Motion seconded by Ryder. On roll call vote, all voted for the motion, Resolution No. 2392, declaring an emergency expenditure in the City Attorney's budget, was presented and passed on motion of Huggins, seconded by Vick and carried. Resolution No. 2393, an emergency expenditure in the Parking Meter budget was passed on motion of Vick, seconded by Horstman, and carried. Resolution No. 2394, an emergency in the Police Pension budget was passed on motion of Horstman, seconded by Haddow and carried. Upon motion duly made, seconded, and carried, the Council then adjourned. Mayor Hammer and all Councilmen were present. Minutes of the regular meeting of July 6th and special meetings of July 20-21-22-23 were read and approved as read. City Officials' Reports: City Clerk for June approved on motion of Horstman, seconded by Huggins. Police Judge for July on motion of Fisher, seconded by Harmon. Health Officer for July on motion of Huggins, seconded by Metcalf. Chief of Police for July on motion of Vick, seconded by Ryder. City Engineer for July on motion of Fisher, seconded by Haddow. City Treasurer for June on motion of Huggins, seconded by Metcalf. Request of Fire Chief to purchase new ambulance was referred to Safety Committee on motion of Huggins, seconded and carried. Finance Chairman Harmon reported all claims for July had been audited and moved payment be allowed. Motion seconded by Vick and carried.
