02/02/60 SP City Council MinutesM 1 1 SPECIAL MEETING A Special Meeting of the City Council was held February 2, 1960, at 7:30 P. M., in accordance with the following notice given and acknowledged: TO THE HONORABLE BOARD OF ALDERMEN CITY OF KALISPELL, MONTANA Gentlemen: There will be a special meeting of the City Council Tuesday, February 2nd, 1960, at 7:30 P. M., for the following purposes: RADIO EQUIPMENT LIABILITY INSURANCE BIDS We, the undersigned, being all of the members of the City Council, do hereby waive notice of the date and purpose of the special meeting of the City Council to be held Tuesday, February 2, 1960, at 7:30 P. M., and consent to the transaction of any and all business to come before the Council as designated above. ATTEST Blossom White Howard V. Hammer Acting City Clerk Mayor H. A. Mayor Hammer presided, with the following Councilmen present: Fisher, Haddow, Harmon, Homuth, Horstman, and Metcalf. Huggins and Ryder absent. The following bids were received for Liability Insurance. for the City from February 18, 1960,to February 18, 1961. Farmers' Insurance Group Woods Insurance Agency Conrad Casualty Company Sauer & Sauer Kilpatrick Insurance Agency W6ods:-Insurance Agency Max Ennis Glacier Realty Limits of 100/300 $ 3,473.31 3,526.40 4,196.08 3,209.89 3,152.16 3,671.30 3,671.30 3071.30 Limits of 150/400 $ 3,530.28 4,274.60 3,274.12 3,232.07 3,750.79 3,750.79 3,750.79 Harmon of the Finance Committee reported to•Council on -Liability Insurance Bids, and moved that hereafter claims be reported directly to local agent, rather than to the adjuster. Seconded by Homuth and carried. Harmon also moved that -low bid of Kilpatrick Insurance Agency for $3,232.07, based on limits of 150/400, be accepted. Seconded by Metcalf and carried. Horstman read specifications of radio equipment and discussion followed. Horstman then moved that City call for bids on mobile units, with trade-in of 3 units now owned by Fire Department. Seconded by Harmon. Motion by Horstman that Engineer be instructed to obtain specifications and necessary data for automatic stand-by power plant, with a minimum of 3,000 watts.
