SPECIAL MEETING -
A Special Meeting of the Kalispell City Council was held August 14, 1961,
7.:30 P. M., in accordance with the following notice given and acknowledged:
TO THE HONORABLE BOARD OF ALDERMEN
CITY OF KALISPELL, MONTANA
Gentlemen:
There will be a special meeting of the City Council Monday, August 14th,
1961, at 7:30.P. M., for the following purposes:
ADOPT FINAL BUDGET
FIX TAX LEVY
CALL FOR BIDS ON COPPER TUBING
CALL FOR BIDS ON ONE -TON TRUCK (WATER DEPARTMENT)
We, the undersigned, being all of the members of the City Council,
do hereby waive notice of the date and purpose of the special meeting of the
City Council to be held Monday, August 14, 1961,.at 7:30 P. M., and consent to
the transaction of any and all business to come before the Council as designated
above.

Finance Committee recommended an increase of $15.00 per month for Assistant
Fire Chief and $10.00 per month for Fire Department Captains.
Moved by Lenon, seconded by Turner, Committee's report be accepted. Carried.
Turner moved adoption of Resolution No. 2448, a Resolution fixing the
budget for the fiscal year 1961-62. Motion seconded by Homuth. All Councilmen
voted for adoption on roll call vote.
Roberts moved adoption of Resolution No. 2449, fixing the mill levy for
1961 @ 41 mills. Motion seconded by Smyser. Roll call vote taken, with all
Councilmen voting for.
Moved by Turner, seconded by Roberts, that Water Department be authorized
to advertise for a stock shipment of copper tubing. Motion carried. Moved by
Smyser that Water Department be authorized.to call for bids for a new one -ton
truck. Seconded by Bjorneby and carried.
The Council then adjourned. Motion by Roberts, seconded by Bjorneby. .
