10/07/63 City Council MinutesREGULAR MEETING A Regular monthly meeting of the Kalispell City Council was held October 7, 1963 at 7:30 P: M. Mayor Flynn presided. All Councilmen were present. Minutes of the regular meeting of September 9th were read. Roberts moved approval —as —read: Seconded and carried; Monthly Reports of City Officials: Reports of:the-`Chief.of Police,,Police--Judge,,City-Engineer, and City Sanitarian for September. -City Treasurer and City.Clerk-for August, quarterly. report of Fire Chief were examined and approved on motion by Turner. Seconded and carried. Committee Reports: Finance Chairman`Homuth`reported all-monthl*7claims approved for payment, Moved adoption of the report,'secomded and carried,, -- Addressing the Council. - Charles Campbell and Mrs. Dick Vick asked for permission to place a house ,trailer on their parents.,property.-on Woodland. Avenue. Referred to Special Committee of Smyser, Roberts and Homuth for.consideration and iiaediate decision. Motion ;by Ellingson, seconded and -carried. Dick Taylor,"Architect, asked permission to change curb cut and a two inch' extension of front wail, and,6 inch extension of alley wall;in.remodeling.old Safeway Store building sa 3rd Street West for Valley Bask, 0ldinj. Smyser moved adoption of Resolution No. 2518•granting the above ite-ase ascended by Roberts. `Roll -call vote.on the Resolution with all Councilmen voting for, Resolution No. 2317,-a Resolutiioti extending City Limtts.rto include James B. Hill property on South Main Street was presented and after hearing no protests it was moved by Roberts, seconded by-,Homuth that the Resolution be -adopted. .On roll call vote all Councilmen voted, for adoption. A policy Resolution, to govern tine sale of Centennial' Merchandise was presented and discussed. Ellingson moved resolution.be tabled. Seconded.and carried. Roberts moved adoption of Resolution No. 2519 approving said contract. Seconded by Lenon.and pusmo on roll.call vote of Council. Ordinance Now. 704.1 an Ordinance adapting a Revision and Codification,of the Ordinances of City -of Kalispell.was presented and. read. Turner moved -adoption of the -Ordinance, seconded by -Roberts. All.Councilmen veted.fpr adoption,_©n ro11 cull vote'. Moved by Smyser that a price of $25.00 for the first year and $12.50 for each additional year be fixed.for.copies.of the Revised Ordinances. Seconded and carried. Bond of Engebretson -Grawel.,Co; ny, $1000.00 House Moving. Bond, and; Gamble Skogmo Company, $3006060 Gas Installation Bond were approved on motion by Roberts.
