'Minutes of regular meeting of December 10th were read. Roberts moved approval as read. Seconded and carried. City Off iclals Monthly Reports: Police JudBes_Chief of Police, City.Engineer, City Sanitarian for December. City Treasurer and City Clerk for,November, Fire Chief for 4th Quarter. ' Reports were approved on motion of Lenbn, seconded by Roberts: Committeb Repeitsa ,- Roberts for Sidgwalk and Curb., - Request for curb cut on 25 foot lot north of Montana Hotel wabnot approved. Roberts moved not to grant this request. Seconded and carried. Request of.MacMillan Drug for a reserved parking space adjacent to store on East Second Street -was granted on motion by Roberts. Seconded and carried. Tgrner, Sewer-Watero ittee,- - Received list of shareholders and water users in Greenacres Water District and agreement with City on future operation of District. Homuth, Finance Committee, - Monthly claims audited and allowed. Moved accept- ance of report. Seconded and carried. Hmmuth, for Safety Committee, - Reported acceptance of bid`of Himsl-Wohlwend Motors for new Dodge Police car. Addressing the Council: William Hillstead presented his plan for a new shopping center on E. Idaho and 2nd Avenue E.N. calling for curb cuts and boulevard parking area. Roberts .moved,referral to Sidewalk and Curb Committee, City Engineer,and-Chief of Police with power to act. Seconded and carried. Resolution No. 24869 a resolution to extend the City Limits.ta:include "Baker SouthrSide;Additionl".. except lots 13 and 14 was .presented and read. No protests having been filed, Roberts moved adoptiork of the resolution.Spconded by Smyser. On roll call vote all Councilmen voted for adoption. Roberts moved that Mr. Dean Jellison be appointed acting City Attorney. Seconded and -carried. Smyser moved adoption of Resolution No. 2485, a resolution of intention to extend the City Limits to include •"Shgp Addition to Kalispell'"* -Seconded by- Bjorneby. All Councilmen voted for adoption on roll call vote. Resolution No. 2483 was presented and passed on rpll call vote. Motion by Lenon,.;seconded by;Turner. This resolution provides for an increase,in-non- federel funds in couuectiom with application --for Federal Grant for Northridge Add,ition!!water main. Resolution No. 2484 was next presented. Motion by Roberts, seconded by. Bjorneby,;--On rgll call vote -all Councilmen voted for passage. This resolution provides for an increase in the application to Hpusing and Home Finance. -Agency for Federal Grant for Golf Course improvement. Kali -spell Air Saw & Equip. 600,00 Moved by Smyser bids be referred to. -Sidewalk, -Curb and Boulevard Committee with power to act. Seconded and carried. -Moved by Roberts that'a call for bids for Liability Insurance be authorized. Seconded and carried. Hoved by Homutth that -contract -with Van Waters and,.Rogers Company be executed for 1963 Liquid Chlorine purchases. Seconded and cdrrked. Authorization to Pacific Power and Light Company for new street lights on Idaho Street be referred to Light Committee with power to act, on motion of amyser. Seconded.and carried, , Roberts moved approval of following Surety Bonds:. Seconded, and carried. General Sheet. Metal Company Aft Burner -Bond Emmett Collier Electricians Bond Moved by Smyser that the 30 new parking meters now on a 6 months ,trial basis be returned to Company, in as much as the revenue has not increased by 'their use. Seconded and carried. Proposed ammendment to permit '"Turn on Red Light". referred to Safety, Street and Alley Committee for a report to Council. Moved by Roberts that ,the proposal to drill a -water test well in South end of City be referred to Sewer -Water Committee and City Engineer. Seconded anal -- carried. -be absent the Cityfo r 60_days.Mayor Flynn requested Permiss_ionto Turner moved that this request be granted. Seconded and carried. Councilman Ellingson asked for 3 weeks absence from the City... -Request granted on motion,.by. Bjorneby. Seconded and carried.
