02/15/65 City Council Minutes17 REGULAR MEETING 0" Regular monthly meeting of the Kalispell City Council, February 15, 1965, at 7:30 P. M. Mayor Flynn presiding with all Councilmen present except Jerrow. Minutes of the February 8th meeting were read and approved as corrected on motion by Lenon, seconded by Roberts and carried. Committee Reports: Reoberts, Sidewalk,Curb and Boulevard Committee, recommended that Pacific Power and Light Company be granted the right to remove trees as requested by Mr. Hilgeman with recommendation that all stumps be removed and level of boulevard be restored. Request by Mr. Hilgeman for Pacific Power And Light Co. to place power pole in island at 2nd Street and Wood- land was refused. Motion was made by Smyser that request be approved as recommended, seconded by Bjorneby and carried. Bjorneby, Parking Meters and Lights, reported there are 12 Rental Meters paying regular monthly fee, and 5 spaces used with no rental fee. Motion by Roberts that meter space be granted to the County Attorney on a rental basi$ Seconded by Ellingson and carried. Homuth, Finance Committee, reported that Insurance Company represented by Hammer -Sauer was top rated Company and low bid on Liability Insurance. Moved acceptance of Hammer -Sauer Agency bid for Liability Insurance by Homuth, seconded by Roberts and carried. A petition was presented asking abandonment of Street known as Parkview Place in Woodland Heights Addition. Smyser moved that resolution of Intention to abandon Street, Parkview Place, be approved. Seconded by Roberts. On roll call vote all Councilmen voted for adoption. Mayor Flynn reported that Forest Akers had made a request for the installation of parking meters in area around Akers Market when the new Post Office Building is completed. City Engineer reported the platt of Holmquist Addition had been filed. Turner made motion for adjournment, seconded by Homuth and carried. Read and approved as read this 8th day of March, 1965.
