Fixing the Tax Levy for the Year 1966. Seconded by Councilman O'Brien and

A Special Peeting of the Kalispell City Council was held August 15,
1966, at 7:30 P.M. in the Council Chambers, in accordance with the following
notice given.and acknowledged:

There will be a Special Meeting of the City Council 11onday, August 15,
1966, at 7:30 P.M. for the following purpose:
Open Bids on Roofing
Hearing on Petition of Alley Closure
Hendrickson Water
Austin ,Miller Development
We, the undersigned, being all of the members of the City Council, do
hereby waive notice of the date and purpose of the Special Y eeting of the
City Council to be held Monday, August 15, 1966, at 7:30 P.1% , and consent
to the transactions of the above and any other business that may properly
come before the Council.

Bids on Roof Repair:
General Roofing Company - Bid does not include tear off of old copings,
and bolting 2 x 6 timbers on the top of the wall - $1,252.00.
Louis T. Phillips, Brick & P`:asonry Contractor - Removing concrete cap,
mudding in bolts for wood cap, placing on the wood plate - 1535.00.
Richards Sheet !,'fetal Works - Re -roofing per specification $1!,555.00.
Councilman W. Roberts moved bids be awarded'to Louis T. Phillips and Gen-
eral Roofing as the combined bids represented the low bid. Seconded by Coun-
cilman Riley and carried. .

Hearing on Petition for Alley Closure:
There were no protests. Councilman rjorneby moved adoption of Resolution
No. 2597 - a Resolution Abandoning a Portion of Alley in Block 1 of Park View
Addition to Kalispell, Fontana. Seconded by Councilman Roche. Roll Call Vote.
All voted Aye.
Hendrickson Water:
Sewer -Water Committee - Councilman Roche recommended that separate service
be granted for 1537 - 5th Ave. east provided:
Payment is made in advance.
Owner agrees to assure all responsibility for upkeep, maintenance
and repair of water service line and a written agreement filed at the
City Water Office.
Owner agrees to assume his share of the cost of upkeep, maintenance
and repair of the water main fror1 which water service originates and a
written agreement to be filed at the City Water Office.
Austin ;'filler Development:
Water and streets were discussed for the new development. This was re-
ferred to liarshall Murray, CouncI17,en P,jornehy and Roche, Special Cormittee,
to work out agreement with Austin "iller regarding grater and streets.
Airport Committee:
Councilman W. Roberts reported that he felt that since the City had
leased the airport to the Airport association, the City Council should let
the Airport Association run the airport.
A lease with Aerial Surveys, Inc. was referred to the Airport Committee.
The meeting, was adjourned by '. 'ayor Flynn.
