Regular meeting of the Kalispell City Council was held August 8, 1966, at
7:30 P.M. in the Council Chambers.
Mayor Flynn presiding. Councilman W. Roberts absent. All other council-
men present.
Yinutes of the August 3, 1966, --ieeting were read and approved as read on
motion of Councilman Riley. Seconded by Councilman Bjorneby and carried.
Finance Committee - Councilman Homuth reported all claims had been audited
and moved acceptance of the Finance Comm-aittee Report. Seconded by Councilman
O'Brien and carried.
Addressing the Council:
1'r. John Norrison of P'orrison - 1`aierle, Inc., gave a progress report on
the Northridge Area Sewer study.
Councilman Bjorneby moved enactment of Ordinance 732 - Salary Ordinance
for the year 1966. Seconded by Council--ian Roche. Roll Call Vote. All voted
Aye.
Chief of Police Christopherson requested the appointment of LeRoy McDowell
as Police Sgt. for a probationary period of six months. Councilman Bjorneby
roved LeRoy 'McDowell be appointed Police S_t. `'or a probationary period of six
months. Seconded by Councilman '?o;-nith and carried.
Regular meeting adjourned by *ayor Flynn.

.Fixing the Budget for the Year 1966. Seconded by Councilman Happ. Roll Call
Vote. All voted Aye.
Councilman Roche moved adoption of Resolution No. 2596 - a Resolution
Fixing the Tax Levy for the Year 1966. Seconded by Councilman O'Brien and

General Roofing Company - Bid does not include tear off of old copings,
and bolting 2 x 6 timbers on the top of the wall - $1,252.00.
Louis T. Phillips, Brick & P`:asonry Contractor - Removing concrete cap,
mudding in bolts for wood cap, placing on the wood plate - 1535.00.
Richards Sheet !,'fetal Works - Re -roofing per specification $1!,555.00.
Councilman W. Roberts moved bids be awarded'to Louis T. Phillips and Gen-
eral Roofing as the combined bids represented the low bid. Seconded by Coun-
cilman Riley and carried. .
