05/23/66 SP City Council MinutesSPECIAL MEETING A Special Meeting of the Kalispell City Council was held in the Council Chambers on May 23, 1966, at 7:30 P.M. in accordance with the following notice given and ack- nowledged. TO THE HONORABLE BOARD OF COUNCILMEN CITY OF KALISPELL, MONTANA Gentlemen: There will be a Special Meeting of the City Council Monday, 1-lay 23, 1966, at 7:30 P.M. for the following purpose: Meeting with Morrision-V;aierle representatives and Hersey-Sparling representatives concerning Water System Improvements Bids. We, the undersigned, being all of the members of the City Council, do hereby waive notice of the date and purpose of the Special Meeting of the City Council to be held Monday, May '23, 1966, at 7:30 P. Councilman Wm. Roberts moved the City Engineer be authorized to call for bids for curb installation for the coming year. Seconded by Councilman Happ and carried. A petition for annexation by a number of property owners along Airport Road was referred to the Annexation Committee. Councilman Wm. Roberts moved acceptance of the Water System Improvement Bids as recommended by Morrison-Nlaierle engineers. Seconded by Councilman Roche. Council- man Bjorneby voted No. All other councilmen voted Aye. BID AWARDS ON WATER SYSTEM IMPROVEMENTS: Section 1 - Pump & Motor Layne -Minnesota $ 3,952.00 Section 2 - Electrical Starting Panel Vance Pump & Equipment Co. 2,120.00 Section 3 - Flow Meters, Telemetering Hersey-Sparlino Meter Co. 19,411.00 and Remote Control System Section 4 - Valve Fittings and Piping Item 1 - 10" Check Valves, 3 total Waterworks Supplies Co. 545.79 Item 2 - 8" Gate Valve Waterworks Supplies Co. 109.99 Item 3 - 8" Surge Relief Valve Waterworks Supplies Co. 556.75 Item 4 - 18" Butterfly Valve Waterworks Equipment Co. 560.00 Item 5 - Piping, Fittings and Couplings Waterworks Equipment Co. 961.60 Mr. Myron Strand requested permission to use a house trailer as a temporary office at the City Airport, pending approval of lease. Councilman Roche moved that permission be granted for the temporary use of a house trailer for an office, pro- vided the lease agreement is completed and approved by June 6, 1966, and that if the lease is not approved by that date, the trailer is to be removed from the Airport property by June 10, 1966. Seconded by Councilman Riley and carried. CouncilmartRoberts moved for adjournment. Seconded by Councilman Wm. Roberts and carried. Read and pproved as read this 6th day of June, 1966. Mayor M
